2021 Lucky Shag Melville Glades Senior Amateur Open - 11:30am 2 Tee Start
1. Eligibility
1.1 Any Amateur Male golfer who has attained the age of fifty-five before the 19th day of October 2021.
1.2 Each competitor must be a member of a Golf WA affiliated club and hold a current GA handicap. Overseas
entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Open Committee.
2. The Event
2.1 The Event will be played over 18 holes. The winner of the Open will be the player who records the lowest
eighteen hole gross score. In the event of a tie the Australian Countback system will apply
2.2 Play will be conducted in two divisions: Stroke for GA Handicap 9.5 and below
Stableford for GA Handicap 9.6 and above
3. Trophies
3.1 Trophies will be awarded for the following:
Senior Open Overall Gross Winner and Runner Up
Overall Nett Winner and Runner Up
Stableford Winner, Runner Up and Third
Nearest the Pins – All Grades
4. Field Size
The overall field size will be restricted to one hundred and twenty players. Should entries exceed this number then
players will be balloted from the Event commencing with the highest handicapped players. A seeded draw will be
done for each division.
5. Motorised Golf Carts
Only players with approved medical certificates are eligible to utilise a motorised cart.
6. Player Code of Conduct
All entrants assent to be bound by the Golf WA Code of Conduct. A copy of the Code is available at
www.golfwa.org.au
7. The Open Committee
7.1 The Open Committee will consist of the Captain of Melville Glades Golf Club and members of the MGGC Match
Committee.
7.2 The Committee reserves the right to vary any of the Open Conditions.
7.3 In the absence of the full Open Committee, such members as may be present at the time, may give a decision
and any decision so given shall be deemed to be a decision of the full Open Committee.
8. GPS Measuring Devices
The use of Measuring Devices is permitted in conjunction with the Rules of Golf
